Peter Mintun performs and comments on two lesser known Warren songs.
"Too Many Tears" by Warren and Al Dubin, originally sung with gusto by Dick Powell in the 1932 movie Blessed Event. For Mintun it is Warren's most sophisticated melody.
Mintun does three versions of lyrics for Warren and Mack Gordon's 1940 Manhattan song "Fifth Avenue": The original followed by latter day parodies by Bruce Goldstein and Eric Bernhoff.
